Wow! What a pleasant surprise this grate turned out to be. After the first one arrived, my Mom begged me to order enough for her whole house! This is a sturdy and well-constructed floor register/grate. There has been mention that the open/close mechanism is inferior, but I was able to get all of them to work easily. The fit was true to size, and the Asian design gives the home a more exotic look. For about $4 per register, you can really give your home a high-end detail. I also bought the Cherry Wood, and it is very custom-looking. I see some raised grates by the same maker that I plan to order. Just visit your local home center or hardware store and see the awful floor registers they sell for $27 apiece. Not only is the price right on these Oriental Design Registers, but the quality is so much better.Very attractive and functional. Appear to be well made. These replaced the original 20 year old registers in our home and really are an upgrade. They look great on all surfaces in the house, tile, wood and carpet. Highly recommend.They look great.
